Terms and Conditions of the Greek Islands Pass
  • You cannot use the 4-day Greek Islands Pass to travel internationally to or from Greece. The 4-day Greek Islands Pass is only valid for travel with participating ferry transport companies in the country covered by your Pass. Read more
  • When travelling with a Greek Islands Pass, all Pass holders must reserve a seat for each ferry they wish to travel on. This can be done free of charge. Make sure to do so as early as possible to ensure seats are still available. Please note that if you do not hold a seat reservation for the ferry service you wish to travel on, you will not be allowed to board the vessel.

  • 1st class 6-day Greek Islands Passes are valid in both 1st and 2nd class on international ferries (routes between Italy and Greece). On domestic ferries (local routes between Greek islands), only 2nd class (economy) seats are available when travelling with a Greek Islands Pass.

Upgrade your seat with an exclusive 30% discount after your ship has sailed (domestic routes only).

  • All standard Interrail Passes are refundable or exchangeable if they are returned unused. Read our booking terms and our refund & exchange policy.

  • The Attica Group comprises the following ferry companies: Superfast Ferries, Blue Star Ferries & Hellenic Seaways.
  • If you purchase a Greek Islands Pass with a discount or during a promotion, different conditions may apply. Please read these conditions carefully before purchasing and make sure you understand any additional conditions or limitations that may apply to the promotional Pass.
  • Read our Greek Islands Pass FAQs for more information.

Additional conditions for Youth travellers

  • To travel with a discounted Youth Pass, you must be aged from 12 up to and including 27 on the start date of the Greek Islands Pass.

Additional conditions for Adults with Children

  • Children under 4 travel for free and do not need a Greek Islands Pass. You may be asked to sit a child under 4 on your lap during busy times. If you'd like to reserve a separate seat for your child under 4, then you will need to add a free Child Pass to your order, as it's only possible to book seats/beds for Pass holders. Read more.

  • Children aged 4 to 11 on the date you choose to start your trip travel for free with a Child Pass. Children must be accompanied at all times by at least one person with an Adult Pass. This doesn’t have to be a family member and can be anyone over 18.

  • Up to 2 children can travel with 1 adult. For example, when 2 adults are travelling, they can take 4 children with them. If more than 2 children are travelling with 1 adult, a separate Youth Pass must be purchased for each additional child.

  • Children under 12 travel in the same travel class as the accompanying adult.

  • Travelers aged 12 to 27 on the date you choose to start your trip can travel with a Youth Pass.

For up-to-date information, please check bluestarferries.com or hellenicseaways.gr for domestic ferries and superfast.com or anek.gr for international ferries.

What is a travel day?

It is a 24-hour period in which you can travel on multiple ferries with your Pass. It lasts from 00:00 to 23:59 on the same calendar day. Overnight journeys are counted on the day of departure. For example, the ferry from Patras to Venice takes 2 nights. However, Pass holders only spend one travel day on this journey.

How to use the port transfer Patras-Piraeus included in the 6-day Greek Islands Pass

To receive the free tickets and the seat reservation (bus and train journey) to travel from Patras to Piraeus and vice versa, the Pass holder must head to the ticketing office of a Hellenic Train station ticket office and present the following:

  • The My Pass section of the 6-day Greek Islands Pass screen (name, id/passport, validity of pass)
  • The ticket and barcode (travel day ticket) that was generated for the international ferry journey
  • the seat reservation made for the international ferry journey (date and journey)

Once the Pass holder has received valid tickets and a seat reservation for the bus, they can begin their journey.

  • Patras-Kiato: This part of the journey is by bus. You have to transfer to a train in Kiato
  • Kiato-Piraeus: Continue on board an Athens Suburban Railway to Piraeus
  • From Piraeus train station, you'll be able to reach the ferry terminals by foot, taxi or bus

If travelling from Piraeus to Patras, a Pass holder can request the tickets at the train station in Piraeus.
